Alpaca Fiber Dryer Ball (XL) - 3 Balls

These are extra large felted alpaca balls from our very own Alpaca herd here at Your Alpaca Cottage! Because these come from each year’s sheared fiber, there are a very limited number of these beautiful fiber balls.

I prefer drying balls over dryer sheets because they don’t contain chemicals and are also reusable. They’re good for hundreds of loads and with a busy and booked Alpaca Airbnb, I can attest that they really stand up well! Dryer balls help prevent laundry from clumping together in the dryer by tumbling between layers and separating fabric. This action allows warm air to circulate better which can even help reduce drying time. The movement of the dryer balls against fabrics can also help fight wrinkles, prevent static and soften clothes.

These are approximately 4 inches in diameter with approximately 10-13 inches in circumference. This listing is for a set of 3 balls, but you can buy as many as you like. Colors will vary because the colors of our herd members vary, but they are all GORGEOUS! These are natural colors, non-dyed fiber from Alpacas on my farm, so no colors will come off on your clothes.

Use: Put ball(s) in dryer with washed clothes. If you wish you can put a couple drops of your favorite essential oils on them to add scent.

Note: Our herd is sheared mindfully while they stand on a lead rope or in a shearing frame. They are not tied down. I go to the extra time & expense of shearing our Alpacas standing up because I want them handled kindly and don’t want to break their trust. Our herd appreciates this, or so they say :-)
